Salutations!

Hi and welcome! What does one say in their very first blog post? I’m still not sure but I’m hoping I’ll figure it out soon! I once sent an email to a brand new co-worker that said, “There’s only one thing you need to know about me … I. Love. Jimmy. Fallon.” In theory the email was supposed to proceed with additional work relevant information and a funny picture of Jimmy Fallon that was somehow related to the info I was passing along. Instead, I accidentally left out the other stuff and hit send immediately after my confession of love. My new co-worker was both confused and amused. In retrospect, that email was probably dead on! In fact, I should probably re-design my blog and just make it an homage to Jimmy, a la 1994 teen beat style.

Here’s why I love jimmy so dang much! He is inclusive, kind, jovial, smart, and super-de-duper funny. I really do love Jimmy Fallon! Yeah, it would be super fun to kick it with him and we’d be the best of friends, but really, I love him because I want to be like him: Inclusive, kind, jovial, smart, and funny!

I’m aiming to write about the things that inspire me and make me joyful. I hope any of my musings on the subject(s) can be fun for you to. I’m from Oregon so my inner hippie heart swells and expands when I think about being more connected to other people. I hope this blog can be a vehicle for that! I believe we are all God’s kids experiencing life together, and that we are all just doing the very best we can. My friend Oprah once told me about a quote from spiritual leader Ram Dass…"We’re all just walking each other home." What a tender thought! I believe this with my whole heart. So come be inspired and excited with me. Let’s take a walk!
